First Day of School

Yesturday was Davids first day of school!! He was so excited!! I walked into his bedroom that morning and said get up we have to get ready for school. Any other day its like pulling teeth but he hopped right out of bed and was ready to get dressed and go. I took off of work to watch him get on the bus. I know this may sound corny but my stomach was tied up in knots thinking about my baby getting on the bus. I actually did really good when the bus got there until my neighbor lady (whom drives daves bus) asked me were my tears were...and then they just rolled out. Dave was to excited to get on the bus. He kept asking me

Dave: Mom can I get on the bus?
Me: Wait let me get a picture of you by the bus
Dave: Now can I get on the bus?
Me: Can you give me hug and kiss good bye
Dave: NOW CAN I GET ON THE BUS??
Me: yes

I think that was the hardest thing watching my baby boy turn into a big boy and get on the bus!! He seems to love school and asked me this morning if he could get on the bus all by hiself, and of course I told him yes. Here are some pictures of his day!!

Birthday Party

We had Dave's birthday party Saturday at Sam Parr. Believe it or not even know that it was hot outside it turned out to be a decent afternoon. Dave decieded that he wanted a Hanny Manny birthday cake, so I guess that it is a good thing that we have Aunt Geneva!!! She did an excellent job!!

He was getting a little cranky here

He had a great turnout at his party!! Thank goodness!!

Jake and Ash (Dave thought that we had to have construction hats)

Get some brakes!!!

I know that this dosen't really amount to much but I have to tell you about the phone call I just got from my 13yr old brother.

Connor: Guess what just happened!!
Me: What
Connor: Somebody just hit our house!
Me: WHAT?

Needless to say I always tell my mom that she lives in the hood. Haha. Her neighbors are not the greatest. Anywho whoever was at the neighbors house was backing out a little to fast apperantly did not have breaks (or hopped up on the barley meth who knows) and back staight into my moms house!! When he called me he was standing in the back yard. Of course me i'm telling him to get his butt out front were the action is but he didn't want everybody to know that he was talking to me. So when I asked him how much damage he said that it did more damage to the car than it did the house and that there was a girl laying out in their front yard and of course the cops and an ambulance were there. The last of the conversation led to they were putting the girl on a strecher so he must have been peeking around the corner. Chickin Shit!! So I can't wait until I go over there tomorrow so I can hear all about it. Sorry I dont' have any pictures I just couldn't get him to go around to the front of the house for nothing. Thanks Connor!!

Happy Easter Everybody!!

I hope that everybody had a good easter today. We started out our morning by Dave waking up and saying to us "The easter bunny didn't come". We told him that he did and to go look on the kitchen table. So he look and this is what the easter bunny brought him for easter

Of course candy, candy, candy. You have to have candy for easter but also got the Rocket Fishing Rod. Lets just say that I think that this is the best fishing pole ever. All you do is push a button and it shoots into the water. Its perfect because Dave can't cast a pole. After we got around we took Dave to the pond to try out his new pole. But of course didn't catch anything.

Later on for lunch we went next door to Duanes dads for easter lunch. It was a pretty good spread. Donna and Fred brought out the go-carts and little dirt bikes and all had fun. Then we hunted easter eggs, so all in all it was a pretty good day. Here are some pictures of the go-cart and little dirt-bike riding and the egg hunt.

Well I hope all went well for everybody else. I know i'm pooped and I think that somebody else is also

One thing about living in the country is mice. So...we caught a mouse tonight. Heres the deal, I can't stand them when they are alive and I can't stand them when they are dead. So Duane goes to check the trap and low and behold there is a mouse one it. He tells Dave to come here so he can check it out and Dave comes running

Dave: Mommy, mommy we caught a mouse ya want to see it! Its dead!

Me: No I don't want to see it.

Dave: Mommy come here so you can pet it

Soap

So Dave has this habit about saying bad words. Usually I tell him not to say that, that it is a bad word and usually does not say it again. (At least when I am not around) Well for some odd reason tonight since we have been home it has been aww s**t! I told him one more time and he was getting the soap.

When my brother was younger his favorite word was a**hole! He got soap and that didn't work so we tried vinigar. The sad part about it was he liked it. So he eventually just quit saying it. So...hopefully that will be the same in my case.
